The German government has decided to install more and more wind turbines and other ineffective power generators, and at the same time Germany closes their nuclear plants before they can substitute with other reliable electricity generators. Effectively this means that Germany will have to import electricity at a high cost, and thereby decreasing the countries industrial competitiveness. Because Germany is the most important economy in Europe, the ongoing deindustrialization will almost certainly drag all other European countries with them. If Germany and the rest of Europe (that includes UK) was a closed economical system, the terrible energy policy would only be bad. But because trade is generally free, more and more development and manufacturing is now taking place outside Europe, migrating to countries like China and India. To understand why establishment of more and more wind turbines is hitting the industry and economics so heard, it is vital to understand the role wind turbines can play and the importance of cheap, high quality electricity. Electricity quality and price is a key factor for our competitiveness, quality of life and civilization as a whole. I believe most people will agree on this point. The governments probably agree too, but falsely believe this can be accomplished by going "green". Such a view is insanely ignorant. Electricity is only transport of energy, and the supply has to follow the demand every single thousands of a second, there are no buffer zones, no pit stop and no margin for error. Because of this, it is imperative that there are sufficient generators on-line, which can deliver on demand, to sustain the perfect balance between supply and demand. For the reasons mentioned above, wind turbines, electric solar panels, etc. can only act as unnecessary surplus, increasing the cost and decreasing the quality of electricity enormously. There is absolutely no scientific creditable reason for expanding and promoting the "green" electricity production. But there are many scientific and environmental reasons why we should promote high density flux electricity generators like nuclear. Maybe in the form of thorium nuclear and in the long run fusion technology. Although I have no proof, I believe that a large part of the economical crises is due to the industrialized nations choice of terrible bad and disproved electrical energy production scheme. One solution is to remove all interaction, both economic and strategic, from the government, and return the electricity production fully to the private industry - right now. Oh, I forgot the climate issue. Plants love CO2 (cannot live without it), investors love CO2 (like Al Gore), the tax department love CO2, but the climate could not care less (proven by the historical records). So the heavily doctored greenhouse theory is only hammered into our heads since 1988 in order to deindustrialize and depopulate the world. It is even more absurd that all the wind turbines does nothing to reduce CO2 emissions - nothing. |
