In the northern Sweden they have difficulties with fuel for the icebreakers this unusual cold winter. As Sweden converts to windmills instead of diesel engines, due to over-quota CO₂, the transportation authorities have turned to more practical ways of keeping the shipping lanes ice free. If anybody are in doubt: the vikings originated from Scandinavia and discovered America (Wineland) some 900 years ago. Some of their descendents are now living in Minesota, where they continue to enjoy cold winters.
