UK Government Ignorant To Shameful Exploit Of Children

By Karl J. Hansen, klimabedrag.dk

drowning-petsA spokeswoman from the Department of Energy and Climate Change said it stood by the message in the television advert, according to Sky News:

"It's consistent with Government policy on the issue, which is informed by the latest science and assessments of peer-reviewed, scientific literature made by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and other international bodies,"

See article about the exploit.

It is the worst fears being confirmed:

"Consistent with Government policy"

This is exactly the point.  It is a political decision, not a decision based on general accepted facts.  To be more precise, it is based on extremely long term forecasts and these forecasts are based on largely disproved assumptions calculated with over 20 years old computer programs written in FORTRAN.  This computer language was very dominant in the 80's and is problematic in the sense that it is largely a sequential language with sub routines and is therefore not very maintainable by changing programmers.  Since the 90's mostly Object Orientated computer languages are used.  The modern OOP style computer programs can be written in an almost self-documented way and will reduce the number of errors significantly.  The forecast-programs (models) used by the IPCC are basically so faulty in practice, that they can only be used for political propaganda, scientifically we are not in a state where we can forecast much more than a number of weeks ahead.  Using these already failed predictions in a way that is supposed to convince people that this is the Earth's absolute future, is not scientific, not fact based and used as a political tool.  If the IPCC really wanted accurate data coming out of the computer models, they would have spend a fraction of the climate propaganda money on new modern climate programs, that would use not only atmospheric input variables, but also variables from Sun, ocean flow, land-use, etc.  They would make sure that these models can reproduce past climate history before any of the results were published.  By not bothering very much (read: not at all) about the quality of the computer forecasts/models, they have proven ignorant to the science in favor of a more superior political agenda.

"peer-reviewed scientific literature made by UN's IPCC,"

United Nation's IPCC is a political organization, who's employees wrote the summery for policy makers before their own scientists had time to finish the scientific report.  The IPCC has not to-date shown any peer-reviewed evidence, proving that CO2 has the potential of causing dangerous overheating.  The former assumption that CO2 causes significant heating, is in recent years convincingly disproved both theoretically and by real-life data.  It is therefore fair to say that CO2 has been politicized.  Peer-review can be a good thing, but due to the climate issue being politicized, the peer-review system is not objective and therefore largely useless.  It has been shown in the past that peer-reviewers of climate issues, are ignored if they don't honor IPCC's wishes to prove that higher CO2 concentration causes severe global heating.  The United Nation's IPCC ignores an overwhelming 31,000 scientists who absolutely disagrees and say that not CO2, but a lot of other, much more dominant, factors regulates the global climate.  Ignoring such a large community of scientists proves IPCC's ignorance towards objective climate science and verifies their dependency on political objectives.

In view of this apparent solely political use of the global climate system, it is shameless to convince innocent children that what the IPCC forecasts is the inescapable truth.  We should teach our children basic facts, which they can later use in other areas than politicized climate science.  We should tech them logarithm so they know how little CO2 can heat at current levels.  We should teach them physics, so they know about thermodynamics.  We should teach our children to be analytic and always question even the most obvious facts.  We should teach our children never to accept any science, anywhere, at any time, to be settled.
